The long wait for the start of football season has finally come to an end, and what an amazing second week it was! I know a lot of us here in Massachusetts are excited for Jimmy Garoppolo’s second win as a Patriot despite his shoulder injury, and are looking forward to seeing how the team continues to perform while Tom Brady’s suspension continues. But this blog isn’t about worrying whether or not the Patriots will keep winning; it is about how we can show the world that Patriots fans are the best tailgaters, and that we will support the team through the thick and thin! So here are the three best techniques to keep in mind when you’re tailgating this season at Gillette Stadium.
First and foremost, you must come wearing proper attire; this means rocking the beautiful colors of the Patriots: red, white and blue! You must also keep in mind what time of the year the game is because, despite the warm summer weather that we are currently experiencing, it will get very cold at some point later on this season.
Secondly, you must come fully stocked with ice and cold beverages, and certainly don’t forget about water either! Nothing is worse than getting to the game with a fully stocked cooler and then having to endure warm drinks a few hours later because someone forgot the bags of ice.
Finally, you must also show up with plenty of food, and I don’t mean just chips and dip. I’m talking about bringing steak tips, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken shish-kabobs, Italian sausage… you know, the good stuff. If you don’t have an easy way to bring a grill with you into the game, there are plenty of disposable grills that are simple to use.
So with all that being said, we hope you all enjoy the season and that you take our tailgating advice to heart. Go Pats!
